Be quick to rest, sit at His feet, and learn of Him

November 26, 2010

It takes more faith sometimes to just sit at Jesus feet and learn than it does to run around trying to do “important Work”. Work was never intended to take the place of the Word. Get your identity from “In Christ” not from what you do for God or others…

If you are too busy to fellowship with God in the word and prayer; you are too busy.. Man must live by more than bread (food and activities of daily life), we live by every word proceeding from the mouth of God. God wants you to learn to “rest” in Him and in the finished work of the cross. This not only addresses the things we do but also the motive as to why we do them..

God may call over active people BUT He uses those who put Him FIRST and sit at His feet to learn of Him. If you can’t use the authority God has given you to order your own time without confusion and chaos, and put God first in your time, you may be called but God does not want to use you to put works mentality on others. Food for thought.
