Matt. 25:20–23 Well done, good and faithful servant.
(ESV notes)The master’s identical statements of praise to both servants show that what was important was not the total amount earned but faithfulness in utilizing their gifts and potential. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Faithful stewardship in this life will result in being given greater responsibility and stewardship in the life to come.
Matt. 25:24–25 Master, I knew you to be a hard man.
(ESV notes) The third servant’s actions result from his apparent misperception of his master, which manifests itself in laziness and bad stewardship.
At what point in our lives will we let our perception of God change? The world says that you do what you do because of your childhood. When will we let our childhood go? When we received Jesus as Lord, we were born again. That old childhood is to have no more effect on your new life. You do not need to go over it and over it again and again. It is OK just to forget the things that happened. What good is it doing you to rehearse those things that happened. That only breeds loneliness, hatred, anger, etc…
But what about the memories? We do not need to dwell on the memories. Satan will use them to keep us in our old lives. He does not want us to move to our new life.
Our new live Glorifies God. Satan wants all the glory. He wants our lives to glorify him instead of our Heavenly Father.
So we have a choice as the servants in Matt. 25, to use our talents or to hide them. Are we going to be lazy & a bad stewart? Lazy is a lack of effort, lack of care, slow-moving, and more. Satan does not mind if we go to church, as long as we do not use our talent for God. Not everyone is a preacher. Some can cook, clean, fix things, teach, and much more. What has God given you to be a part of? Are you letting your view of God hold you back. Or are you only doing things because you are afraid of what God might do to you? God wants a willing vessel.
Matthew 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

God gives everyone according to his ability. He knows you and He will give you strength and grace to do what He has called you to do.

(Matthew Henry) Those who think it impossible to please God, and in vain to serve him, will do nothing to purpose in religion. They complain that He requires of them more than they are capable of, and punishes them for what they cannot help. Whatever they may pretend, the fact is, they dislike the character and work of the Lord.
Some do nothing because of fear… vs 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth…

Oh let us not hid the gift he has given us. Let us not be gripped by fear. Let us know Our Father. Let us not look at Him like the world does. There are many voices out there, many views, and most are looking into themselves for the answers. Let us get into the word and really KNOW HIM.

Oh I want to hear “Well done thy good & faithful servant”

I want to say, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith…(2 Timothy 4:7)

Let God use you…Do not be afraid…Do not hide what He has given you…Go to the word and get the correct view of your Heavenly Father…
